Part-Time Project Leader | Glasgow (3 days p/w)

This opportunity will be based in Glasgow, 3 days a week. Deadline for applications: 5pm on 22nd July 2022. Interviews will be arranged in the weeks following the deadline.

About the role:

We are looking for someone to join our small, friendly team in Glasgow. Within this team, your role will be to lead mentoring projects, and support the Senior Project Leader and Programmes Manager in the delivery of our programmes. The Project Leader’s primary responsibility will be to lead two mentoring projects weekly. However they will also take a leading role in the delivery of our community work, which will include curriculum planning, volunteer recruitment and training, and the delivery of family-based activities one Saturday each month.

About you:

We are looking for an enthusiastic person with a warm, positive attitude and lots of creativity and initiative! Experience of working with children is essential, and ideally you will have experience connecting with parents and families as well. We welcome candidates from any relevant disciplinary background. (E.g. education, sociology, psychology, youth work, social work).

The successful candidate will be experienced in working flexibly as part of a team, willing to learn from colleagues as well as share wisdom and offer support. IT literacy is essential, as are excellent communication and organisation skills. Being able to build strong relationships with various groups of people is necessary.

In the initial stages of this appointment process we will give priority to those who have previously volunteered on Citywise projects. If no suitable appointment is made, we will then consider other applications. We will communicate in a timely fashion with all candidates throughout the process.
