Senior Project Leader | Manchester
Based in Manchester, full time, £19,000 – £21,000 (dependent on experience), pension, 25 days holiday, permanent contract. Deadline for applications: 5pm on 15th July 2022. Interviews will be arranged in the weeks following the deadline.
About the role:
We are looking for someone to join our small, friendly team in Manchester to lead mentoring projects and support the Programmes Manager in the delivery of our programmes. The Senior Project Leader’s primary responsibility will be to lead mentoring projects, though they will also be expected to support with other areas of delivery, such as curriculum planning and delivery, volunteer recruitment and training, and supporting the Programmes Manager with the strategic development of our work in Manchester. As a core member of the wider Citywise team, the Senior Project Leader will be expected to take part in training, special projects and occasional meetings with their colleagues in Glasgow as well as Manchester.
About you:
We are looking for an enthusiastic person with a warm, positive attitude and lots of creativity and initiative! Experience of working with children is essential, and ideally you will have experience connecting with parents and families as well. We welcome candidates from any relevant disciplinary background (e.g. teachers, social workers, therapists, youth workers).
The successful candidate will be experienced in working flexibly as part of a team, willing to learn from colleagues as well as share wisdom and offer support. You must be IT literate, have excellent communication and organisation skills, be able to build strong relationships with various stakeholders, and consistently re-prioritise a varied workload.
In the initial stages of this appointment process we will give priority to those who have previously volunteered on Citywise projects. If no suitable appointment is made, we will then consider other applications. We will communicate in a timely fashion with all candidates throughout the process.
