Luke Wilkinson

Luke brings over 10 years of experience in youth work and management to his role at Citywise, as well as his passion to see people grow. Luke reports to the Board of Trustees and is responsible for leading and supporting the wonderful team of staff and volunteers.

Hana Bútorová

Glasgow Director linkedin

Hana manages the Glasgow team and all of our local partnerships. With a passion for education and child psychology, Hana also oversees our curriculum development and is working towards her PhD researching character growth among children.

Naomi Woodcock

Manchester Director linkedin

Naomi manages the team in Manchester and all that we do in partnership with local schools and with families in the Citywise Centre. Naomi also oversees our communication, letting the world know just how brilliant Citywise is, and how easy it is to support us!

Andy Taylor

Project Leader: Manchester linkedin

Andy has years of experience working with young people, helping them grow and develop in character. Alongside finishing his PhD and running a student residence, Andy leads two of our programmes and is pioneering our work with local children through the Citywise Centre.

James Preston

Family Services Manager and Safeguarding Lead linkedin

James has been working with children and young people for 8 years, and is passionate about families thriving! As a Dad of two he knows the challenges and rewards of parenting and is pioneering new ways of supporting parents using our unique character approach.

Richard Grey


As a chartered accountant Richard supports Citywise's Senior Leadership and Trustees with all things financial. Richard brings a wealth of experience to the team having worked in the oil industry and as an academic at Strathclyde and Heriot-Watt universities.

Fr Joe Evans

Chaplain to Citywise

As one of the founders of our charity in 1994, Fr Joe is delighted to return recently as the Chaplain to Citywise. With many years of chaplaincy experience in London, Fr Joe’s role is to offer a space for our students, young people and families to ask life’s big (and little) questions.

Marcelle Samuels

With a wealth of experience in Human Resources, Marcelle’s passion and training lies in mediation and conflict coaching. Marcelle offers the Citywise team and volunteers a space to talk over a cup of tea about issues she can bring her expertise to.

Flora Anderson

Project Leader: Glasgow

Flora is in her final year of a Psychology and Music degree and volunteered as a mentor with Citywise for two years before becoming a project leader. She has various experience working with children and young people and is passionate about child mental health and development.

Jowita Krasik

Project Leader: Glasgow

Jowita has been working with children in different settings since the age of 15. She is a 4th year student at Glasgow University working towards a degree in comparative literature and classical civilisation, and volunteered with Citywise for over 2 years before becoming a project leader.

Lynsey McPhail

Project Leader: Glasgow

Lynsey has many years experience working with children, and is passionate about helping young people embrace their own characters and creativity! As a 3rd year student studying a history degree, Lynsey hopes to continue her work with children by becoming a primary teacher.

Jess Samuels

Jessica is particularly passionate about encouraging positive mental health in children and helping children to build resilience. Jessica is currently doing a Masters in Psychology, and volunteered with Citywise for over two years before becoming a Project Leader.
