Diana is running the Great Edinburgh Run 2017!
Everyday we are trying to teach our children that our actions define our character. At Citywise, we believe that self-control, resilience, good judgement and fairness are virtues that determine any person’s success! By getting involved in a healthy outdoor sporting activity such as the Great Edinburgh Run 2017 we aim to promote these values and motivate our mentees to lead a healthy active lifestyle. The cherry on top is fundraising by completing an amazing challenge!
We’re raising funds for the Citywise ‘Heroes Academy’ summer projects. The money raised at last year’s Great Manchester Run gave 120 young people access to the free holiday club. The play-based curriculum is designed to support their transition from primary to secondary school: learning in disguise as fun! We use the theme of superheroes to help young people discover what it takes to become an everyday hero. #thecityneedsheroes – could you be one?
