Superhero Summer Fun!
Citywise is delighted to offer a week’s summer holiday project for children going into Y3, 4, 5 or 6 in September who live in Rusholme, Longsight, Moss Side or nearby. Using the theme of superheroes, children will have an opportunity to do sports, drama, fun games, make new friends and refresh their numeracy and literacy skills in time for September!
Throughout the 2-week Heroes Academy, we will:
- Spend time every day in classrooms on interactive English and Maths lessons taught in fun and engaging ways
- Help your child to learn about important strengths or ‘super powers’ (resilience, fairness, self-control and good judgement) that anybody can develop
- Play games, do sports, drama, arts and crafts and dance activities
- Have an exciting visit from the Lego store! (*to be confirmed)
We will finish the project on Saturday 1st September with a family BBQ at 1pm, to which all are invited! We would love you to come along for a short showcase of the things your child has learnt during the week, then stay to enjoy lunch and garden games with us. Siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles all welcome!

When? 28th August to 31st August 2018: 9:30am to 3:00pm
1st September: 10:00am – 2:00pm (family BBQ at 1pm)
Where? The Citywise Centre, 6 Oxford Place, Manchester, M14 5RZ
Cost? We ask for a contribution of £5 per child per day (this includes breakfast and lunch). If you are unable to pay, we don’t want this to prevent your child from attending, so please speak to a member of staff on the first day and we will be able to help you out.
