Matt Runs Scotland

Matthew is running the Great Edinburgh Run 2017!

Dear Friends and Family —

This is my first charity run in my newly adopted home. It would mean the world to me for you to support my run through one of the world’s most beautiful capital cities, Edinburgh (please note, despite its win in the beauty category, Glasgow is unequivocally better than Edinburgh. Must be said for the record).

All proceeds benefit a charity that mentors youth in underprivileged areas across the UK, including in Glasgow where I live. This is an organization a couple of my classmates volunteer for, so I can vouch for what a great cause it is.

You will also benefit from a personalized Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram S/O (you choose the social media platform!) for all of your friends to see, in which I express my heartfelt gratitude. Many thanks in advance!

We’re raising funds for the Citywise ‘Heroes Academy’ summer projects. The money raised at last year’s Great Manchester Run gave 120 young people access to the free holiday club. The play-based curriculum is designed to support their transition from primary to secondary school: learning in disguise as fun! We use the theme of superheroes to help young people discover what it takes to become an everyday hero.  #thecityneedsheroes – could you be one?
