Ramona is running the Great Manchester Half-Marathon 2017!
My dearest friends,
As some of you may know, last year I took part in the 10k Manchester run for CityWise.
Why? I will remind you. Because these beautiful people are dedicated to providing better future prospects for disadvantaged children by organising summer camps every year, and fundraising ensures that these projects come to fruition. And lets face it, who doesn’t want to make a difference?! Speaking from experience, I can tell you that is the most rewarding feeling. So, here I am again this year.
Last year you have been very generous and I hope that you will do the same this year. You have really made and will make a difference.
The city does indeed need heroes; heroes like you!!!!
We’re raising funds for the Citywise ‘Heroes Academy’ summer projects. The money raised at last year’s Great Manchester Run gave 120 young people access to the free holiday club. The play-based curriculum is designed to support their transition from primary to secondary school: learning in disguise as fun! We use the theme of superheroes to help young people discover what it takes to become an everyday hero. #thecityneedsheroes – could you be one?
