St Monica's Summer Project 2018 Registration

Citywise and St Monica’s are offering a 2-week summer holiday project open to children starting in Year 7 at St Monica’s in September 2018. The aim of this project is to help your child with the transition from primary to secondary school. Students will become familiar with the school, they will meet some of their new classmates, and they will boost their numeracy and literacy skills for Key Stage 3 to get ready for September!

The theme of our Summer Project this year is Heroes. Throughout the 2-week Heroes Academy, we will:

Spend time every day in classrooms on interactive English and Maths lessons taught in fun and engaging ways
Help your child to learn about important strengths or ‘super powers’ (resilience, fairness, self-control and good judgement) that anybody can develop
Play games, do sports, drama, arts and crafts and dance activities
Go on an exciting off-site trip

The project will be especially beneficial for pupils struggling to meet progression expectations. St Monica’s is committed to helping these students hit the ground running in September, after what might otherwise be a summer without any revision of English and Maths.

When? 20^th August to 31^st August 2018 (excluding Bank Holiday Monday)
9.30 am to 3.00 pm

Where? St Monica’s RC High School, Bury Old Road, Prestwich, M25 1JH

Cost? The cost for the two week project is £85.00 (Week 1 £45, Week 2 £40). This includes a nutritious lunch and snacks every day, as well as the off-site trip.
