What is the Bounce Back Movement Challenge?

Every May, Citywise runs something called the Bounce Back Movement Challenge for a selected group of classes that are taking part in term-time mentoring projects at our partner schools.

The Bounce Back Movement Challenge aims to get children moving and exercising! It was started after the pandemic with the aim of supporting children to bounce back after lockdowns, and this year over 200 children are taking part in the challenge. Each child has been given a Bounce Back journal and encouraged to record 30 minutes of physical activity every day. At the end of the month, each child will receive their own Bounce Back medal!

Here is a video of our mentors explaining a little bit more about Bounce Back!

Citywise has created this blog post to help the whole family get involved! Doing this will help the children to be motivated, and to be encouraged to show resilience. It will also promote quality family time, what more could you want!

Bounce Back Family Challenges

Alongside the challenge with the children on our mentoring projects, this month Citywise will be publishing blog posts about the benefits of exercise and movement, benefits of group activity and how that can build deeper connections with others through exercise.

Each blog post will include a physical activity challenge you and your children can try at home! Keep an eye out for these and let us know how you get on by tagging us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter @CitywiseUK!
